New Paths

For a long time I have believed that your path in life has been set for you from the day you are born.  Not every exact detail, but the main points of life.    The good, the bad, and the people that you meet along the way.  Have you ever heard the saying that people come in and out of your life for one reason on another – that they influence you in some way, or you influence them?  Also part of the equation.  I know that I can look back and remember people that have come and gone from my life and from some I recall what I learned, others I hope that they learned a few things also.  Believe me I do not want to take credit for anything, but I simply hope that if I was meant to help someone learn something about themselves, that I did a good job at that assigned task.  I also feel that at times you may stray from this path due to the gift of free will and being allowed to make our own decisions in life.  But to counter this straying we get pushed or sometimes forced back onto the planned path.  At times we ask for help to get back on the path, and at times we go back kicking and screaming.  Even though this path has been laid out for us at times things that happen, and may have seemed to happen before, seem new and fresh.  Or is the path modified for us due to what has happened in our life?  Perhaps that is why things may seem new.  We all know that original plans do not always stay the same and have to be changed from time to time.  Is that what happens or is the newness that is felt just another gift from above?  Perhaps a survey is done, and a new path is created because we need to learn more, are tasked with helping others, or the original plan is not the best for us anymore.  Many of these questions that can not be answered from here on Earth.   I know that we may all have our different beliefs but this is how I feel and believe.   If I am still on the original path or this is a new modified one, I am faithful and trusting that it will all work out.  I am also thankful for all of the experiences that this path has taken me on, even the ones that were hard to get through.   It is all for a purpose and I look forward to the next turn or hill that this path will present to my life.
