A Good Long Run

It was a combination of things that contributed to a good long run last Saturday.  First of all my mind and heart were in a happy and positive place, it can be hard to get in some long miles with too much negativity and sadness.   The weather was also perfect for running.  Around 65 degrees at the start and I think it was about 70 degrees when we finished the 13 miles.  Plus very low humidity which allowed me to be able to breathe “normally” compared to the previous weeks run through Stony “Death Valley” Creek.  Now I know why there are less races scheduled in the month of July.  Seeing all of the TNT’ers out there also was a great inspiration.  Plus running with Steve for most of the 13 miles, the other Steve and Coach Janet, for part also really helped.  I have to honestly find some wood to knock on and say that I felt good for the entire run, and even was able to run the last 4 miles at a faster pace.  That run was a good confidence booster and I hope to continue on this good path all the way to the finish line at Ford Field.  As always thank you to the Lord above and everyone else that has supported me on this journey.  Together all of us have made this possible.

  1. Isn\’t it great to have a good run? Although it has been a while for me, I still remember how they felt. It was good to see all of you guys at Stoney Creek, now I know I\’m behind schedule.
